What is THRIVE?

THRIVE is a support for biological families who are at-risk of their children entering the foster care system and parents (whose children are in foster care) who are taking the appropriate steps toward reunification. We will offer a local network of counselors, mentors, and caring individuals that offers physical, emotional, and psychological support to both parents and children on a bi-monthly basis. This will take place in a small group setting where participants will eat a meal together, find a like-minded community and support, and be encouraged in their struggles and successes. While the adults are participating in their small group at Rooted242 Community Café, children will have their own small group down the block at The Creator’s Studio. Though the content of the groups will differ, the support and grace will be the same. All group participants will also receive a personalized THRIVE gift box! This will provide families with items they have indicated they need for the safety, health, and comfort of their home (hygiene items, cleaning products, household items, beds and dressers, clothing, shoes, diapers, etc). Support and goods will continue to be provided to participants as necessary and appropriate.
